What is the Alexander Technique?
The Alexander Technique (AT) is a method that improves posture, coordination, and balance which lessens pain and brings more ease into the whole body. It builds mindful awareness of how you are functioning and guides you to make choices that serve you better.
Who can benefit from the AT?
Anyone! We often see people who have back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, foot pain, sciatica, shoulder issues, and other types of chronic pain, tension, and stress.
What do you do in a class or lesson?
The AT uses verbal guidance as well as hands-on work to help students understand and experience new possibilities in their actions. Students learn how connected their mind and body really are as they explore how to change habits.
